Very nice list. I love WPRobot but I don’t have much success with autoblogs. It’s hard to get visitors and to avoid duplicate content. WPRobot is able to translate but the translations are very very bad..

I think that I need to chime in here and say that I find auto blogging tremendously uncool. To me, it amounts to little more than ripping off other people’s content, and as someone who works really hard to write and create high-quality articles for my own blog, it really makes me mad when I find some other site – usually with a poorly implemented WordPress theme – ripping off what I worked so hard to create.
I recognize that a lot of people see blogging as a good way to make money – and it can be if you do it right. But doing it right involves creating awesome content for your readers, not just rehashing something that someone else wrote. If you can’t produce enough unique content to keep multiple blogs running, then drop the extra blogs and just focusing on doing one blog the right way.
It will be better for you in the end.
Also, there’s absolutely no need to post every single day. A couple times a week is more than adequate, and will give you readers the opportunity to keep up with your content. Daily releases (or even multiple times a day) can become somewhat overwhelming!

Great article, especially for those who have ventured into autoblogging thinking it’s the answer to their needs only to find it takes a lot of time and work to manage multiple blogs and that nothing is truly ‘auto’ in the end…unless you employ some cool tools! Datafeedr is a solid service for those looking to manage affiliate datafeeds but we found we needed something more advanced (and even more more ‘auto’) than their default WordPress plugin and so developed our own – CSVPiG. CSVPiG is a WordPress CSV import plugin with automated scheduling and a heap of other advanced features. You can read all about it here “blogpig.com/products/csvpig”. If you’d like to take it for a free spin, just drop me a line.

I really like the idea, but i feel that’s only for spammers. I want to post my own content and give the reader a different experience. I don’t want some random software posting stories from rss feeds.

But there are many out there who wants to automate everything. So the market is ripe..

It doesn’t have to be that black and white – automate OR handcraft everything. Of course quality matters and unique, hand crafted, genuine content is important but it takes a lot of time and isn’t always scaleable. Full automation meets the needs of some bloggers, 100% hands on work suits others, but a magic blend of automation and personal input can also work wonders. Imagine automating all the time-consuming tasks like managing datafeeds or tagging your blogs so that your personal input goes onto the more valuable tasks of crafting your thoughts, opinions and reviews. Don’t get caught in the trap of thinking you have to be ‘all’ automation or ‘no’ automation. Consider a happy blend.

If autoblogging is no different than splogging, (aka spam blogging, or ripping others’ content, even with a linked attribution) then how is that productive?

Auto-blogging, could useful for domain preparation, increasing PR, etc… could be effective for link pyramids…
It also helps build links for the article submitters, giving them more presence on the net.
Use wisely

I think the different is intent Ari. If someone is autoblogging just to spam promote their website then that is wrong, but if they’re autoblogging to create an “everything under one roof” website then that’s okay.

Thank you guys for all your comments and feedback. Autoblogging is not bad if done in right way. Am not in favor of stealing content. If you are posting something from other blog, always give a backlink to the source and mention the site reference.
I don’t think fetching RSS, displaying it on your website and giving a backlink to the original is criminal act.

Autoblogging per se is not illegal. I have a site that I blend with auto post using WPRobot and it works great!
If you choose to get content through the article module there’s nothing wrong with it since authors want their articles be syndicated.
What I hate to see is when your articles are copied without even linking back to the source or your site.

I think you should consider an update and also include http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/multipress-content/ in your list. Is free and does more then some of the paid plugins i know (some of them not listed here).
On the other side, internet is big enough for everybody. If don’t like something, don’t use it.

I am a crazy soccer fan, and I was looking for a website where I can watch FIFA 2010 world cup matches live, after searching so many sites and places I finally found out this page dewesh.com/soccer.html , where you can stream matches live. I hope this information helped the other reader of this blog who are looking for something like this.

Have you actually read the final article that the WPRobot plugin produces? The grammer is TERRIBLE and it is VERY obvious to the reader that the article was not written by a human.
In other words, it produces bad quality content.

I can’t imagine why anybody would opt for this. Besides being penalized by search engine, you can also expect 0 readers to actually care about new content.
Has anybody has a decent experience with automated blogging?
